Becoming Our Partner

Let’s get to know each other as we tailor a golf course improvement plan fine-tuned to your needs.

1. Introduction presentation

Curious if we’re a fit for your club? Complete this form, and Ed Pettit, our Managing Director, will be in touch to arrange a 60-minute presentation. This gives you a full overview of our maintenance services and helps Ed understand your needs.

2. Due diligence

With your permission, we move on to due diligence. We’ll review your greenkeeper reports, course data, work schedules, asset inventories, finance reports, and contracted suppliers to build a clear picture of your commercial situation and objectives.

3. Course review

Our team visits your location to assess your golf course, agronomic practices, machine fleet, maintenance facilities, and staffing resources. Also, we meet with your greenkeepers and course superintendent to gather their insights and opinions.

4. Partnership proposal

You’ll receive a detailed report on our course review and due diligence findings. Plus, for your approval, a 12-month proposal plan to measurably improve every aspect of your maintenance operation using 13 key performance indicators and benchmarks.

5. Contract agreement

Once you’re happy to proceed, we’ll issue a contract confirming term length, visit schedule, monthly payments, insurance information, service inclusions, and your new Superintendent. Your partnership with Carr Golf begins after signing the agreement.

Your First 90 Days

Now we activate the training, reporting, planning, and resourcing to help your greenkeepers deliver the promised improvements.

1. Preparing your team

Your Superintendent meets with your greenkeepers to outline course objectives and kickstart our collaboration. We assess their skills, provide training, redefine roles, and restructure weekly plans with new standard operating procedures.

2. Launching your reports

Next, we launch your reporting system. It guides our data-driven approach. This hub makes it easy to track your course performance, agronomic activities, task lists, fuel logs, and fleet usage. Then analyse and optimise for never-ending improvements.

3. Implemeting your plan

Your Superintendent designs an agronomy program to enhance course health for improved performance and presentation. This includes cut heights, mowing patterns, sustainable fertilisation, and targeted treatments. Your team brings the plan to life.

4. Resourcing your operations

We assess your stock and bulk order products for the agronomic plan. You’ll also join our established supply chains for sand, fuel, and other inputs. We log it all in the system and introduce quarterly checks to keep you stocked year-round.

5. Optimising your assets

Successful course maintenance requires excellence behind the scenes. That’s why we audit your equipment, tools, and compound. Everything gets logged and reported. Finally, we service, calibrate and clean to create a well-oiled machine for your team.

Your Maintenance Milestones

We constantly monitor your course and meet with your team to share insights, report results, and plan next steps.

1. Data collection

Our regular testing drives continuous improvements to your course. Every fortnight, our specialist measures everything from cut height to surface smoothness, soil temperature and moisture levels. Then we help you use this data to optimise conditions.

2. Progress reports

Each month, you receive a digital report. Dashboards show the latest KPI scores across course performance, plan adherence and operational efficiency. These 13 metrics combine for your Overall Course Condition rating and provide a pathway to improvement.

3. Site visits

Your Superintendent visits monthly for a walkthrough of current results with your greenskeepers. We review course standards, KPI scores, performance data, task lists and agronomic activities to uncover actionable insights that drive ongoing progress.

4. Monthly invoice

For 12 fixed-price monthly payments, you get access to our services, experts, partners, and fleet. This includes:

  • Staff, resource & plan oversight
  • Inputs, materials & accessories
  • Site visits, reports & compliance
  • Machine services, repairs & backups

5. Annual review

Let’s reflect and reset. Our annual review covers course performance, agronomic plans, resource analysis, employee hours, operational expenditure, and potential investments. Together, we take these findings and plan another season of measurable results.
